Winter really makes me want hot chocolateSad I need an alternative before it gets really cold and I cave. Maybe a dark chocolate or cocoa infused tea of some sort. Anybody have any suggestions?

what about milk tea?
I know it sounds weird to you. But, where I am from, we drink milk tea a lot!
make strong brewed black tea. (like breakfast or assam)
then, add milk to your cup !

Milk brings in the sweetness. So, you don't have to add sugar!
oh, Chai tea with no sugar will be great, too!

OK, I'll probably get boo'd for this, but a super healthy trend that's warm & has a proven to link to weight loss is.......... hot water with a slice of lemon.

I know, sounds boring, but it's hot & research proves that it can help reduce weight gradually.

Good luck,

Well, in my opinion, there is no replacement for hot cocoa in the winter. However, this snack can be healthy. Cocoa in its natural state is actually quite good for you in moderation. It has many of the antioxidants that we hear so much about. Unsweetened cocoa powder has a surprising amount of fiber as well. If you mix unsweetened cocoa powder with skim milk and Splenda, you can get a cup of it for not too much more than 100 calories.

Me, I'm holding out for the full flavor stuff. Sometimes it's worth the extra half hour at the gym. Wink

Well not liquid but what I do for a craving is have one square block of "Hageland premium Belgian chocolate". You can find this at your local walmart or whatever. Get the dark chocolate (it's good for healthy bowel as well)!

This is a great question. I was just thinking of this, I always brought a thermos of hot choc. with me in the Fedex truck when it got real cold, but that's like 8 million calories. Driving that oversized Pepsi can gets real chilly! And I hate coffee or tea. I'll have to suck it up and be cold I guess.

Agreeing 100% with @tropicalpunchai here. Grew up in a Canadian family where we drank milk tea every morning and every tea time. Personal favorite: Earl Grey Tea with vanilla soy milk and just a teeny bit of agave syrup.

SO GOOD.

Also, the Earl Grey in the morning gives me enough of a lift that I'm off coffee altogether.

Swiss Miss actually has a diet hot chocolate. Its called Sweet Sensibles and its actually good! It has 25 calories, 0 fat, 4 carbs, 2g fiber, 2g protein in one packet. "Real" hot chocolate may still be the best, but this helps with my chocolate cravings!
